Rod Dundee

We were very sad to hear of the recent passing of Rod Dundee, who was a very popular member of The Over Players.  

Rod's first appearance on our stage was in a production of an Old Time Music Hall in the year 2000.   He soon got the acting bug and appeared regularly in our pantomimes.  In his first pantomime, in 2001, he played the part of one of the ugly sisters, Petunia, alongside John Lamoon - what a pair!  As well as various pantomime parts, he played a very credible Rudolph Reisenweber in Hello Dolly in 2009, and Commander Harbison in South Pacific in 2011.
 
Rod was well known in the village of Over, as for a while he was in charge of the village Post Office. This provided him with his very own fan base, who would come to see his antics on stage at every opportunity. 

His last appearance with The Over Players was in 2012, once again playing one of the ugly sisters in Cinderella, this time named Griselda.
 
We send our condolences to Rod's family.   He will always be remembered by The Over Players family as a fun loving man, and his various photographs on our website will keep him in our memories.
