Murder on the Nile - by Agatha Christie
28th to 30th May 2026 at Over Community Centre
Murder on the Nile is the 1944 murder mystery play by Agatha Christie, which is based on her 1937 novel 'Death on the Nile'. The Hercule Poirot character from the novel is replaced in the play by a Church Canon who investigates the murders, as we follow the trail of clues that he slowly unravels.
Key Dates:
Readthrough - in the Church Hall:
Wednesday 4th February 2026 - 7.50pm (not before!) for 8pm start.
Auditions - at the Community Centre:
Wednesday 11th February 2026 - 7.30pm
Rehearsals from then on:
Every Wednesday evening in the Church Hall 8pm - 10pm.
Show Week:
Set Up at the Community Centre:
Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May.
Technical Rehearsal:
Monday 25th May
Dress Rehearsals:
Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th May.
Performances:
Thursday 28th, Friday 29th and Saturday 30th May.
